Paul Rennie
Paul Rennie is a retired healthcare product development manager with time on his hands. In the 1980s, he completed a PhD in microbial biochemistry at Leeds University and briefly became a world expert on armpits and body odour — qualifications he jokes would make him well suited to running a launderette or inspecting tickets on public transport.
He now fills his days with golf, tennis, guitar, ukulele, and sailing. All, by his own admission, performed badly. He has also refurbished several houses and willingly undertakes most DIY jobs, though Insurance companies might advise against it.
Paul, his long-suffering wife Lesley, and their family have lived on Frith Hill in Godalming for 23 years and share a keen interest in local history.
This book marks Paul’s first entry into the published world, though he has previously written a Rennie family history and produced comical poems and prose for the amusement of family and friends.
He proudly notes that he has all of his own teeth and hair.
